Professor StJohn Crean is a highly experienced Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, leading the Facial Pain Service at Priory Dental Clinic. He specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex facial pain, including trigeminal neuralgia, TMJ disorders, and chronic orofacial pain conditions.
He is Pro Vice-Chancellor for Clinical and Research at the University of Central Lancashire, an Honorary Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon within the NHS, and Editor-in-Chief of the Faculty Dental Journal at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Alongside his clinical work, Professor Crean provides senior leadership across dentistry, medicine and healthcare education, with extensive experience in developing clinical programmes, overseeing research, and setting high standards for patient care and professional practice.
