Terms & Conditions

The terms governing treatment at the practice and your use of this website

Last updated: August 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the services provided by The Peaks Dental & Implant Centre ('the Practice', 'we', 'us', or 'our'), located in Mossley, and your use of our website. By booking an appointment, accessing our website, or receiving treatment at The Peaks Dental & Implant Centre, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services or website.

The Peaks Dental & Implant Centre is a private dental practice regulated by the General Dental Council (GDC). All treating clinicians are registered with the GDC.

2. Dental Services

The Peaks Dental & Implant Centre provides a comprehensive range of private dental services, including but not limited to:

General and Preventive Dentistry: Routine health checks, dental hygiene therapy, and restorative fillings.

Dental Implants & Oral Surgery: Single-tooth implants, full-arch restorations, bone grafting, and surgical procedures.

Cosmetic Dentistry: Composite bonding, professional teeth whitening, and porcelain veneers.

Orthodontics: Clear aligners (e.g., Invisalign) and fixed cosmetic appliances.

Periodontics & Endodontics: Advanced gum treatments and root canal therapy.

Facial Aesthetics: Non-surgical facial treatments.

Emergency Assessments: Triage and urgent dental care.

All services are subject to a thorough clinical assessment. We reserve the right to decline or modify treatment based on clinical judgement, patient medical history, or other factors relevant to patient safety and successful treatment outcomes.

3. Appointments and Cancellations

3.1 Booking Appointments

Appointments can be booked by telephone, via our official website, or in person at the Practice. Appointment requests are subject to availability and are only confirmed once you receive formal confirmation from the Practice.

3.2 Attendance

Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. Late arrivals may result in a reduced treatment time or the need to reschedule your appointment to avoid disruption to other patients. We ask that you contact us as soon as possible if you anticipate running late.

3.3 Cancellations and Rescheduling

We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for the cancellation or rescheduling of routine appointments. For longer or specialist appointments (including dental implant surgery, complex oral surgery, or sedation procedures), a minimum of 72 hours’ notice may be required.

Failure to provide adequate notice, or failing to attend an appointment without notice ("Did Not Attend" / "DNA"), may result in a cancellation fee or forfeiture of your deposit. Repeated cancellations or non-attendances may result in removal from our patient list.

3.4 Emergency Appointments

We endeavour to accommodate dental emergencies as promptly as possible. Emergency assessment appointments are subject to a fixed fee. Please contact the Practice during opening hours for emergency assistance instructions.

4. Fees, Payment and Financial Arrangements

4.1 Private Fees

The Peaks Dental & Implant Centre operates as a private dental practice. All fees are charged in accordance with our current private fee schedule, which is accessible on our website and available upon request at reception.

4.2 Treatment Plans and Estimates

Before commencing any course of treatment, we will provide you with a written treatment plan and itemised cost estimate. This estimate is based on the clinical assessment at the time and may be subject to revision if unforeseen clinical complications or changes to the treatment plan arise during the course of care.

4.3 Payment

Payment is required at the time of each appointment unless a specific installment or financial agreement has been arranged in writing with the Practice. We accept major debit/credit cards and bank transfers. We do not accept cheques.

4.4 Finance and Payment Plans

Subject to status and eligibility, interest-bearing and interest-free finance options may be available for eligible treatment plans. These are facilitated through regulated third-party finance providers and are subject to their specific terms and conditions. The Practice is not responsible for decisions made by independent credit providers.

4.5 Outstanding Balances

Outstanding balances must be settled promptly. The Practice reserves the right to charge administrative interest on overdue accounts and to refer unpaid debts to a third-party debt recovery agency. In such cases, all associated legal and collection fees will be added to the outstanding balance.

5. Treatment and Clinical Matters

5.1 Informed Consent

Before any treatment commences, we will obtain your informed consent. This involves explaining the proposed procedures, associated risks, benefits, costs, and potential alternative options. You retain the right to withdraw consent at any time prior to or during treatment.

5.2 Clinical Discretion and Outcomes

All clinical decisions are made in accordance with professional clinical judgement and evidence-based standards. While we strive to achieve the best possible aesthetic and functional results, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, as physiological responses vary between individuals.

5.3 Referrals

Where appropriate or clinically necessary, we may refer you to an external specialist or tertiary healthcare provider. The Practice is not liable for the provision or outcomes of care supplied by independent third-party practices.

5.4 Medical History

You are required to provide a complete and accurate medical and dental history, including details of current medications, allergies, lifestyle factors, and underlying conditions. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your health status. Failure to disclose relevant information may compromise treatment safety and limit our liability regarding any resulting complications.

6. Data Protection and Privacy

The Peaks Dental & Implant Centre processes personal and special category data (including clinical records and health histories) in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Data Collection: We collect personal information to deliver clinical care, manage bookings, process payments, and fulfill statutory obligations.
  • Sharing: Data will not be shared with external third parties except where necessary to facilitate your care (e.g., dental laboratories, referral centers), satisfy legal requirements, or where explicit consent has been granted.
  • Rights & Retention: You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or deletion of your personal data. Clinical records are retained for a minimum of 11 years following the last date of treatment (or until a minor reaches the age of 25), in accordance with GDC and NHS health record guidelines.

For inquiries regarding data privacy or to request our full Privacy Notice, please contact our Practice Manager.
